The Vision of Saugus Football

 We want to send young men out from our program that will become extraordinary husbands, fathers, citizens, and professionals. We want the young men who we have been blessed to serve to become men who have a deep concern and love for other human beings. Finally, we want the young men who leave us to lead a life that consistently and unselfishly strives to give the very best of themselves in everything they do in order to achieve success.

 Success, by our standards, means pursuing excellence. Excellence to us is defined as consistently and unselfishly giving and developing our best everyday. It is measured in comparison to our best selves, not to others. It is a peace of mind that comes from knowing your purpose in life, growing to reach your potential, and sowing seeds that benefit others. Lasting success is measured by the implementation and continual improvement of a character and educationally based process. Success also means that we give our best effort to win by being process-orientated in contrast to failure/success in an event. Finally, success means that we can go to sleep at night with a peace of mind knowing that we gave every fiber of our being trying to do the very best we could.

 The Saugus Football Program is anchored in one primary purpose: Serving the long-term welfare of the players that we have been blessed to serve in our program.

 Our first focus with our students is developing a deep concern for others. Our next concern is the development of indomitable character to secure the base needed for a lifetime of significant servant leadership. Our third focus is to insure that our students receive an exceptional education and further assist them in obtaining admission into institutions of higher learning. Our final focus is to help our students experience and achieve competitive excellence as measured by the success model described above.
