Saugus gets a big rushing performance from Carbajal

After narrowly surviving a fourth quarter rally by a determined Buena team, Saugus football moved to 2-1 on the season with a 34-32 victory on Friday night at College of the Canyons.

Supplying the majority of Friday night’s multiple momentum shifting plays were each squad’s special teams units. 

After the Bulldogs fumbled the opening kickoff, Saugus jumped out to a 7-0 lead just 52 seconds into the game.  READ MORE »

PASADENA — For the second straight week, Saugus football found itself behind late in the game.

This time around, it didn’t have an answer for the speedy and aggressive style of Muir High of Pasadena.

Despite racking up 18 penalties and throwing an interception, Muir prevailed 27-9 over Saugus on Friday night at Muir High School.

Saugus’ late-game surge leads to come-from-behind victory over Burroughs to open SCV football season
