Two Santa Clarita Valley prep football teams can exhale.
The CIF announced football at-large playoff bids on Saturday, revealing that Saugus High and Santa Clarita Christian will both play in the postseason.
Though the full brackets won’t be released until Sunday.
Saugus (5-5) will play in the CIF-Southern Section Northern Division bracket after finishing fourth in the Foothill League following a 43-14 win over West Ranch on Friday. Saugus is back in the playoffs after missing out last year.
The team hasn’t won a playoff game since 2008.
SCCS (5-5) earns a spot in the CIF-SS Northeast Division after coming in as a third-place team in the San Joaquin League.
This playoff berth comes a year after SCCS was snubbed following a 7-3 season.
SCCS closed its regular season with a 69-0 win over Southlands Christian on Thursday.
The Northern Division bracket will be announced on 10:30 a.m. Sunday and the Northeast will follow at 11:30 a.m.
